Governance


The trust deed that was signed in 2009 constituted the Tiger Brands Foundation.

In terms of the trust deed the beneficiaries of the Foundation are “learners of non-fee paying schools in South Africa, vulnerable groups in Society as well as projects that promote sustainable livelihoods in the areas in which the non-fee paying schools exist”.

Provision is made for the Foundation to be administered by five Trustees, three of whom are independent and two of whom are appointed by Tiger Brands.

The Trust is intended to be a perpetual Trust and will continue for a period of one hundred years unless the Trustees, with the consent of Tiger Brands, resolve to terminate it for good cause. If it is terminated, the assets will be required to be distributed to the beneficiaries as defined in the Trust.

The Tiger Brands Foundation is a registered not-for-profit Section 18A trust, PBO No. 930036488.
